Years ago, someone I knew suddenly stopped coming to church for a long time. I eventually met up with him to find out how he was doing and to see if everything was all right. He was very honest with me and told me that he was going through a lot of problems in his marriage, and that he was now addicted to alcohol. Then, he said this: “Let me get my life right, then I will come back to church.”

I smiled and asked him, “Do you clean yourself before you take a bath?” I could tell from his expression that he was taken aback by my question, so I told him, “Come as you are to the Lord. He is the bath. He will cleanse you. He will get your life in order for you, and He will cause every addiction to lose its hold on you. You don’t have to use your own efforts to clean yourself before you take a bath!”

I am glad to share that this precious brother soon returned to church and Jesus turned his life around. Today, he is happily married, blessed with a beautiful family and is one of my trusted, key leaders.

Beloved, that is what the Lord does when you come to Him just as you are, and allow Him to love you into wholeness. So don’t wait for things to be “perfect” in your life first. Just come to Him today. Let Him make all things beautiful in your life!

ಪತ್ರಲೇಖನ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ ನಮ್ಮ ಎದುರಿಗೆ ಇರುವವರ ಜೊತೆ ಸಂಭಾಷಣೆ ನಡೆಸಿದಂತೆ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವ (ಬೇರೆಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ)ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗಳ ಜೊತೆ ಮಾತುಕತೆಗೆ ,ಪರಸ್ಪರ ವಿಚಾರ ವಿನಿಮಯಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಕೆಯಾಗುವ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿ ಸಾಧನ ಪತ್ರ. ಪತ್ರಲೇಖನ ಒಂದು ಕಲೆ . ಹಿಂದೊಮ್ಮೆ ಇದು ಬಹಳ ಪರಿಣಾಮಕಾರಿಯಾದ ಸಂಪರ್ಕ ಸಾಧನವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಪುರಾಣ ,ಕಾವ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಒಂದು ಸ್ಥಳದಿಂದ ಮತ್ತೊಂದು ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂದೇಶ ಕಳಿಸುವಾಗ ಪಾರಿವಾಳಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕಳಿಸುವ ಪರಿಪಾಠವಿತ್ತು. ಕಾಳಿದಾಸನ ಮೇಘ ಸಂದೇಶ ಕಾವ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಕಳಿಸಲು ಮೇಘಗಳನ್ನು ಬಳಸಿದ್ದನ್ನು ನೋಡಬಹುದು. ಕಾಲಾನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳನ್ನು ಕಳಿಸಲು ದೂತರು ಕುದುರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸಾಗುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಎಲೆಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳು ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಕಾಗದಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ಬರೆಯಲ್ಪಟ್ಟು ಅಂಚೆ ಇಲಾಖೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಪತ್ರದ ರೂಪ ತಾಳಿ ಪತ್ರವ್ಯವಹಾರ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಯಿತು. ಇಂದು ದೂರವಾಣಿ ,ಮೊಬೈಲ್ ,ಗಣಕಯಂತ್ರ ಗಳು ಬಂದ ಮೇಲೆ ಪತ್ರವ್ಯವಹಾರವು ತನ್ನ ಮೊದಲಿನ ಪ್ರಾಮುಖ್ಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಕಳೆದುಕೊಂಡಿದೆ. ಇಂದು ಅಂತರ್ಜಾಲ ಸೌಲಭ್ಯದಿಂದಾಗಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಸಂದೇಶಗಳು ಮಿಂಚಂಚೆಯ (mail) ಮೂಲಕ ರವಾನೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿವೆ. ಮೊಬೈಲ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟೋ ದೂರದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರಿಗೆ whatsapp ,hike ,telegram ಇವೇ ಮೊದಲಾದ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಗಳ ಮೂಲಕ ಕ್ಷಣ ಮಾತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ರವಾನಿಸಬಹುದಾಗಿದೆ. ಹಾಗಾಗಿ ಇಂದು ಪತ್ರ ಬರೆಯುವವರ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಕಡಿಮೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ...
